I truly believe that God’s heart for us is to be free of all fear. I mean it. Every-Single-Fear can be wiped away and we can live our lives in complete freedom and surrender and trust. I know, this sounds too good to be true, but I really believe it because His Word is full of encouragement to do just that!
The goal is to live life at full capacity. Not under and not over. Don't be a race car driver that drives 15 miles below the speed limit or a teacher that reads every book out there but doesn't share what they've learned. Don't be a spectator, get in the game!
I was trying to do too many “good” things and was feeling stressed because I wasn't doing anything well. God brought me back to what is most important; my relationship with Him, my marriage, and my children. Making sure that I'm doing those well first and foremost is what He wanted from me.
How can I do all that God has called me to do if I'm unwilling to surrender my most intimate thing to Him? My food. My comfort. My pleasure. My will and my right to indulge. My body.
Sharing is dangerous. When you choose to open yourself up and pour yourself out, not everyone will like what you have to say. But God wants us to share anyway.
As I was snacking on my leftover veggie tray from the 4th of July, it occurred to me that life is kind of like a veggie tray. There are parts of it that we love, and parts that we don’t like even a little and sometimes, depending on what the tray has to offer, nothing at all that we want. The thing about it, though, is that it’s all good for you!
